I've said for a while now that i was making a PC, well today i started work on it (instead of playing on WoW :O ).


My New pc is the black box, so far it has the CPU, motherboard, ram, power supply unit and Hard drives in it.

Yes its a mess.

The dvds are (from top to bottom):
Inspector Gadget: All that Glitters ( theOLD CARTOON version, or the best)
"werid AL" Yankovic: the ultimate Video collection
Robin Hood, Men in tights: A spoof of robin hood by mel brooks

640GB of SATA HDD (2x320GB)
Intel Core 2 Duo 6750
Freezer 7 Pro
Motherboard
PC6400 2GB kit at 4-4-4-12]
On the way tomorrow is a
8800gts 320mb which i might upgrade to and 8800gtx in a month or two.

The case:
Thermaltake armour

PSU is a Etasis 850watt.

I'm going to use the onboard sound for a bit (need money!!) and then get a phyisx card later on too. I know kinda  a lame way but i want off my current PC asap.

O and 2x samsung SH-S203

edit: also treated myself to a logitech G11 keyboard, a very big upgrade from my mutimedia keyboard that was made in china and is total uncool -.-

I got the g11 too ^^  love it so far.   only those buttons don` work with wow... bloody blizz >.>

hehe yea gonna used raid 0.

As for the G11 not working with WoW :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( (sorry but  :'( ).

Hopefully tomorrow after installing the optical drives, GFX card and doing the cables it should go find ( i so hope so).
This computer (currently) blew 2-3 different power supplies before it worked.

I was thinking about g11 too... but I still haven't decided, G11, G15(or maybe the new version with orange backlight comming), MS Reclusa (cheaper sister of Razer Tarantula) or Raptor Gaming K2 (never heard about it before, but I read only good about it so far).

I want to test the new 15 with the red lights for my other pc...  I like the tarantula but as it`s whitout lights I didn`t find it soo good for the usual dark pc room.

mine is

P4 3.6gz
500w power suppliy
2g ram
256mb 1800 radeon graph card (not a clue if thats the right now as they upgrade them like wildfire lol)
80g hdd

all on a 42 inch widescreen samsung tv  ;D

with a neon alien case with 4 fans (10 fans in total from all the parts inside)

total cost for pc going back a year or so = 2,500-3k

I will add a pic when i get a chance too.

hehe, g15 looks nice but was too expensive for me to have :(

Well my pc has the gfx card in, hdds and optical draivers are wired, doing all the usb and chassis wiring now, afterwards power cables >.<

I was such a noob with the sata cables was putting them in the wrong way and was  starting to get annoyed that i couldnt use all the connectors on the mother board. Turned on my pc and was gonna to see if anyone else was the same. Then i had a brainstorm to try them the other way round >.>

you can play with lot of addons with those monsters!
I use to play with a notebook... she ( is a female )is black with a nice silver strip that gleam a bit.
she got 512 RAM, 80 giga hd and doesn't have a graphic card but only a graphic accelerator.. but she is so cute! I can go around in shattra only watching the floor, but is not so a problem...
fortunatly, sometimes I can go home and play with my desktop, all home made by p. there I have also group calendar! too much possibilities!

ouch... Well anyways after 2 days of swearing, cheering, unscrewing, unplugging, banging and yet more swearing, the pc is done and is installing WoW as I type.

an example of how much of an upgrade:
CS:S stress test old pc : 1024x768, highs = 48fps
CS:S stress test new pc: 1280x (some number) all on high, 2xmsaa 2xaaf = 262 fps

However it seems to stutter alot now :-/ However HL2 is smooth.. very werid i think.

same thing happen to me, CS:S looks like lagging all the time, even when I play only with bots... But other source games are fine... Good old 1.6 :D
