Firefighter 25-man done, first Algalon 25-man night, H:GotUR update

First time I`m not slacking! News post in the same night as the kill, but this one really deserves it

<Prophecy> defeats Mimiron in hardmode 25-man !

It is finally done. We brought home the fight which probably is the hardest in Ulduar (except Yogg+0)! Extremely fun and challenging fight, still amazingly tight even in 245 gear, we had a few P4-wipes below 10% but it was ment to go down last night eventually!
Personally I had a real blast in learning and completing this fight, it is really testing raid awareness to the maximum. Final phase is totally chaotic and one early mistake by any raid member can easily cost the whole attempt due to how tight the enrage timer is. I think we spent 3 dedicated raid nights and a few more scattered attempts whenever we had the time, it was really worth it! It was the biggest challenge we`ve encountered in WotLK so far, truly epic fight.

Algalon the Observer meets <Prophecy> !

Firefighter 25-man was also the final hardmode we needed to unlock Algalon`s room. The guild was kind enough to let me have the first quest item (which dropped off Iron Council a while ago); I would like to thank you all for that So after the kill, I found myself with this in my keyring, yay!


It was already late and we didn`t have time to prepare too much for Algalon, but nevertheless we went in there and played our best. I must say that what we did surprised me (in a good way) because it was alot more than I had expected. Algalon is a hard fight, but the most frustrating part about it is the 1-hour timer per week which gives it a unique challenge. What made Algalon really hard in the early days of Ulduar was the insane amount of raid+tank damage happening, along with a very very very tight DPS check in the enrage. Now things have gotten a bit softer with 245 gear, but the morale of the fight stays the same - one member does a screwup, you`re done with the attempt. Too many screwups, come back next week.
We did very good considering it was 23:00 on a Tuesday night, so looking forward for more this week, perhaps even a kill!

Iron Dwarf, Medium Rare completed by <Prophecy>

This probably is the hardest achievement in Ulduar and the whole game. Sadly I don`t have a screenshot of it because I was so focused on doing my task I didn`t have time to screw around.
To those who don`t know, this achievement requires you to kill 25 Dark Runed Guardians (dwarves) in the Razorscale 25-man encounter, with her very own flame breath. Unfortunately for us, we didn`t manage to complete it before the nerf, when it required 50, but we finally did it last night. This veryhard-mode is particularly challenging because of the unusual "sleep aura" that starts to surround the PCs of the raiders. Being so incredibly boring challenging, most of the people fall asleep and we don`t even get to pull it

I HAD TO PUT IT IN THE NEWS THREAD, HELL YEAH.

Missing only one light ! (Yogg+1)

After the raid tonight, we`re really close to getting the 25-man Glory of the Ulduar Raider meta-achievement. We only need One Light in the Darkness (Yogg with only one keeper helping) for that, so looking forward to that as well. Yay, new 310% mounts for everyone!
I suspect the biggest challenge is going to be the !@$#&ing trash clear, since getting to Yogg on a weekly basis is quite alot to clear and quite boring, but the fight itself sounds realy fun (I`ve only done it in 10s) and I`m definetly looking forward to it.
