Server boss down by <Prophecy>+<Orgrimmar Idlesquad> !!

I think most of us were expecting to eventually feel that we`ve "downed" this boss, especially after he totally owned our asses so many times (whole Yogg-0 evenings lost, anyone?).

But no more! Prophecy defeated the server boss!

A few hours ago, on 31 December 2009, around 3 AM, a few of us were screwing around and thought: "Let`s kill Algalon!". So there we are, forming a raid group of 10 people at 4 AM (Knox, Sini, Kaas, Eramor, Ensar, myself - from the guild, and Aukthaipow, Wizzyy, Philly and Eaze from <Orgrimmar Idlesquad>), and quickly started clearing stuff to Algalon in Ulduar 10-man.
We get to the boss rather quick without any interesting events, and after 2-3 very short wipes, we all see the following message in the chatbox: [SERVER] Instance reset in 15:00. Not a very nice thing to see, especially when you`re fighting Algalon! We fail one more try and then we have a really promising try hitting around 27% with all raid alive, at that point we all got disconnected. The instance server fell down on us.
We logged back in, just to end up in Dalaran. After hurrying up to Ulduar, we couldn`t make it in for a few mins, getting: "Transfer aborted: Instance not found" messages. We were already wondering if the boss is gone, if the timer is reset or if we have to clear whole place again. Our discussions were cut short by another broadcasted message: [SERVER] Restart in 15:00. So not only the instance server, but now the main server too?
Fortunately we manage to zone back in really quick, having a very fast pace, "we must beat the server, we can probably squeeze in 2 tries, hurry up gogog buff on the way" and so on... just to meet the first trash pack after we teleported to Antechamber! It caught us totally unaware, but we managed to recover quick. We were sitting on ~12 mins till server restart (and about 30 min left from the Algalon hour) and had all Kologarn`s trash to clear again, AND beat Algalon in those 12 mins.
We started pulling like madmen, carefully skipped the stair pack and the left giant and just rushed to his chamber, buffed up quick and pulled. We had around 6 mins left on the clock, same as his berserk! Sadly he put his first-try speech (with an added line) so we lost 10 more seconds there. Except one early death, we had a very good play that try and got him down 15 seconds before his enrage... but not the same could be said about the server enrage!

Sadly, we didn`t get any achievements or loot, because the server dropped down about 1-2 seconds after the final screenshot. We opened some tickets, and hopefully the things are going to work out fine!

After it was over, we just kept laughing hard for 5 more minutes about what we just did. We raided on 31 December at 5 AM, going to Algalon and facing not one, but two server restarts; while also managing to clear all antechamber trash and defeat Algalon within 12 minutes!
This was one of the funniest raids I`ve been to!

It was pretty darn fun. Instance restart respawned the trash, so trashclear+algalon within the 15 minutes between two restarts.

I hope the Idlesquad folks get their achievement. All 4 of them nailed those hazards impressively fast.
