The Lich King (10) is defeated!

It is done. The main villain of WotLK is down (in normal mode, at least!).

Prophecy defeats the Lich King (10-player)

After a very heavy raid week (due to intensive 25-mans mainly), we started this Wednesday with a great raid on Icecrown 25-man. We got our mojo with us and managed to score some nice kills, like getting Festergut (25) in 3:54 (over 170k raid DPS!) and almost completing the Blood Quickening weekly quest inside (yes, we`re that unlucky). We 1-shot every trash mob (and Blood Princes) in the Blood wing almost without deaths, sadly some internet issues prevented us from getting the Queen down in time (that fight is unforgiving on disconnects). We 1-shotted her on the first pull we didn`t have disconnects.
On Monday, we had our first proper Arthas 10-man night, and we managed to get him to 23% on our best try. We were eager to go again, and with such a good start of the evening, something good was bound to happen. We went really late (after our 25-man, so started around 00.30), and only had about 30 mins. However, luck was on our side! After an awesome execution, we killed him in the first pull of the night!

Realm First! New statue in Dalaran!

We are proud to be the first guild to kill the Lich King (in any difficulty) on the realm. On every realm, after the first kill, a statue spawns in the center of Dalaran, instead of the fountain. Clicking this statue plays the end-game cinematic for the player who clicked it (can be anyone).
It was a great moment for us.

Onward to heroic modes...

...next week. I find this a better system than ToC, where you had to visit that awful, awful, horrible place twice in both player settings, as normal and heroic didn`t share lockouts.
We hope to keep the good pace in 25-man as well, we`ve done some good progress on the fight already.
