Rules and expectations
« on: Wednesday, 02 Nov 2011, 15:10:54 »
The Two Rules

1st RULE: We do not talk about Prophecy
This means that we do not gloat, brag or ‘discuss’ our progress, skill and achievements in this game.
We do not whine, moan or make excuses when we fail to achieve what we set out for.
We let our progress, lack of progress, skill, lack of skill, achievements and failures speak for themselves.
And we do not criticize what other people choose to do with their time playing this game. Be they rivals, players with different goals, children or trolls.

2nd RULE: We DO NOT talk about Prophecy!
Seriously, don't! Or go someplace else if you have an urge to be....  one of those people.

Expectations

This is what we expect from applicants and trialists.
If you are considering to apply for our raiding team, please read this carefully. If you are not able to live up to these expectations, changes are 99.99% (repeating of course) that you will not last very long.

-   Have a computer that can handle 25-man raiding. Without losing FPS to a point where it makes unable to perform. We never accept low FPS as an excuse.
-   Have a stable internet connection that can handle 25-man raiding. Low enough ping to allow you to perform to the max of your ability. Stable enough not to cause lag-spikes and disconnects.
-   HIGH attendance (if you are unable to meet that, it is a waste of both your time and our time to apply)
-   Good behavior and conduct. Not only in /g.
-   Get social with us. Have a mic, say hello on Teamspeak. And be ready to talk and call out things if neeed.
-   Willingness to keep your raid characters in tip top shape gearwise. The right enchants, gems. Efforts made to replace weak pieces (not only showing up for farm raids). Proactivity with upcoming changes for your class.
-   Enthusiasm! About your class, raiding, and about being part of our guild spirit. If you are grumpy and unmotivated, we would prefer that you go look elsewhere for a guild.
-   Be prepared! Know all upcoming encounters, have plans how to handle mechanics in advance.
-   Take criticism well, and be quick and clever about fixing any problem(s). Monitor your own performance and make sure you are understanding and nailing mechanics and whole encounters fast.
-   Have very fast reactions; make use of all your abilities. Including potions and healthstones to make certain you do not die or take avoidable damage.
-   Have stamina! Perfect on the first 10 tries is not good enough; you need to keep playing perfect on every try. Even if others are playing downright horrible. Cynicism has no use, and therefore no place on our team.

-   We expect you to enjoy a friendly, fun and slightly crazy atmosphere whilst raiding. Appreciate a good joke. Enjoy our (sometimes) rather harsh and/or nasty sense of humour.

This is what we do not expect:
-   We will not expect you to know how we handle a fight we have on farm. Though we will expect you know the fight in detail and stay alive.
-   If your character does not have as good gear as most raiders, we will not expect you to be a star on meters. We tend to not even look at that, unless all other parts of your play is perfect.
-   We do not expect you to have very good gear when applying. Of course, having good gear will surely help. But it's not what we look for mainly. We recruit players, not characters.

Still interested in applying? We did not scare you, did we? :)

Feel free to poke me or any officer for more details, or if you have questions regarding our expectations. You can also poke any of our members.

Or if you like what you see and feel you can live up to it, toss us an app!

Scar tissue is stronger than regular tissue. Realize strength! Move on.

den dagen alla i guilden är 100% överens om något är den dagen jag slutar dricka vodka hahaha xD
Both me and Eramor failed once each
